The event celebrated emerging entrepreneurial talent while addressing the question: What is innovation and how do we harness it?

My hosting responsibilities covered across the entire event from emcee,  to segment host and interviewer, panel interview, and awards ceremony host.

Overview

G’Day USA Emerging Innovators Xchange was a networking event
organized by The Australian Government and Northrop Grumman, featuring:

• TED talks with leading innovators from the US and Australia
• Technology showcases by some of the world’s most innovative aerospace
  companies
• An awards ceremony recognizing breakthroughs in innovation and
• Networking opportunities with senior executives from US Fortune 500
  and Australian companies, young entrepreneurs and innovators, investors,
  Northrop Grumman engineering, research and technology leaders, and US and
• Gray Bright, Innovator and Host of The Tomorrow Show

Australian Consulate-General, Los Angeles

The Consulate-General in Los Angeles promotes Australia’s interests in the south west of the United States and provides consular, passport and notarial services to Australians located in southern California, Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada (Clark County) and Utah.

About the Xchange:

LA is attracting international praise for its vibrant innovation ecosystem and companies are beginning to realise the commercial opportunities. Presented by Northrop Grumman, the inaugural Innovation Xchange will showcase emerging Australian technologies and young innovators flourishing in the US market.

Like LA, Australia is known globally for its innovative and creative economy. Australia invented the cochlear implant, black-box flight recorder and wifi. Innovation has grown the Australian economy, increased productivity and supported jobs.
